Kaylee & Caleb's Birthday Cakes

It is hard to believe that my niece Kaylee turned 3 and my nephew Caleb just turned 1!!! They are just too adorable! I was privileged to make both of their birthday cakes! For Caleb's birthday I did a 2-tier Camouflage themed cake. The cake was iced in buttercream and accented with fondant de tails. The camouflage theme was achieved by using camouflage colors of hunter green, black, brown and tan.I tried to make it as masculine as possible for the little guy. I think Caleb enjoyed digging into the top tier, which he had all to himself! For Kaylee's birthday I did a 3-tier cake in bright, cheery colors. The cake was covered in and accented with neon colors of fondant. I was actually inspired by a cake that I saw online and was able to replicate it pretty closely. Kaylee was so cute when she saw the cake - the first thing she said was "Can I touch it?" I said, Of course you can - it is your birthday cake! The cake definitely matched her fun, outgoing personality.
