Party Cake

There are some cake designs, such as this one, that I will never get tired of doing! I love 'Gift Box' cakes and my favorite part is the big bow on top. This cake was for a baby shower for a very dear friend, Kasey! Kasey became the mother to a beautiful little girl, Minerva Ann, on May 20th! The shower was a "Sip & See" so we all got to love on and shower Miss Minnie with gifts. I can't wait for Bennett & Minnie to grow up together and be best buds!

Unique Birthday Cake

This cake was for my beautiful sister Rachel!!! Rachel is the oldest of my 3 sisters! I don't know how I got so lucky to be one of four girls but God knew that I would 3 amazing, godly role-models in my life! Rachel turned the big 3-1 this year, although, she doesn't look a day over 21 :) Rachel is one of the best mommies I know, she is so patient with her kiddos and she uses every opportunity to show and share the love of Christ with her kids and husband. I LOVE you Rachel! I love the way this cake turned out! This cake is one of my favorite cake combos - red velvet & cream cheese icing! Cream cheese icing is very finicky and very difficult to decorate with so I had to think outside the box to to create this design. Since the icing has cream cheese in it it will not create a nice smooth finish so I did little rosettes to cover the outside of the cake!

Summer Wedding

Gotta love summer weddings! I had the honor of working with a precious bride, Meredith Martin. She is a fellow Aggie, Whoop!!!! So it was even more fun to work with her! The brides cake was a traditional Ivory Cake w/ scroll work and then the Groom's cake was a chocolate cake with a shout out to Texas.....only the best state to live in!!!! The wedding and reception was at the Texas Discovery Gardens at Fair Park. It is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL venue.

Zebra Bustier Cake

This is my 2nd Bustier/Lingerie cake to make and I had blast working on it! Not only because it turned out super cute but because it was for my of my very good girl friends, Megan Frelich!!!! She is getting married to her love, Ross, in August --- less than 2 months away!!!!!! Megan & Ross will be tying the knot in Mexico, I'm so sad that I will not be able to attend but I'm so glad that I got to be present for her Lingerie and Bachelorette party! Megan & I go way back to Freshman year of college and where we were neighbors in the dorm. I couldn't resist posting the following pic of Megan modeling with her cake!

Traditional Wedding Cake

I did these pretty cakes for a precious couple! They were some of the sweetest people................and the bride, Dawn, even emailed me after the wedding thanking me for the cakes, which totally made my day! I love the simple details but the classy feel! I have also had the privilege of working along a few other ladies in the wedding biz for several weddings, this wedding being one of them.  If y'all need a fantastic florist or beautiful reception designers these are your ladies: Florist - Sarah Livingston - sarah@mysimplybouquets.com ; Reception Designer - Shelley Christner/Darien - designcodenton@gmail.com

Wizard of Oz Cake

I did this cake several months back, one of my favorites, and was so happy to receive these pictures from the customer. What was so special about this cake was the inside...................which we couldn't see from the pictures that I originally posted. We did a rainbow of colored layers of cake as it was only fitting for a Wizard of Oz theme party! Thank you Laura for sending these pictures!
