Carnival Shower Cake

This cake was for my very, very close friend Alexis! Lex & I have been friends for 20+ years, it is so hard to believe. We met in 3rd grade where we were both "new kids" in class and have been inseparable since! I am so thrilled that Alexis & Travis will be welcoming a precious baby BOY at the end of June! Alexis had the most amazing baby shower, which was carnival themed! I helped out a little bit but Lex's sister Syd did all of the decorating and let's just say it was AMAZING! But I do think  the cake turned out super fun! I found this design online and copied it ;)

Rapunzel, Rapunzel.............let your hair down!

Children's Birthday Cakes are my very favorite cakes to work on...........and from the above pictures I think you might see why! Is this not the most precious cake you ever did see! I am so pleased with how it turned out! This cake started with a little trip to Lowe's. Why a home improvement store you might ask? Well, we (My hubby & I) were trying to brainstorm the mechanics of how to suspend the cottage while making sure that it was structurally sound :) We rigged up a PVC set up that I think fit the job! But back to the cake, the cottage portion is made out of rice krispies which was then covered in fondant and accessorized. And I think the detail that makes it perfect is Rapunzel's hair flowing out the window! Just precious!

Garden Party fit for a Princess

This precious cake is for my future daughter-n-law! Haha! Sweet Mae Margot will be the future bride for my handsome boy Bennett! That is if Mae doesn't mind being driven around in a MONSTER truck.......because let's just say the boy is obsessed with trucks. Okay so I can only hope that Mae & Bennett marry one day but I guess I will let them decide! Haha. Anywho, Mae turned 3 and she had a darling little garden party, I was so sad I couldn't attend but my boys did and they had a wonderful time! I love how simple and sweet this cake turned out to be!

Sarah's 1st Communion Cake

I love working with new customers..................especially those that have tasted my work and then decide to use Yum  Scrum for their next special event! This cake was just that! I made a baby shower cake for Theresa and she was so in love with the chocolate cake that she asked me to make her daughter's 1st communion cake this past weekend! What an honor. Theresa emailed a few different cake designs that she found online so we meshed a few ideas into this pretty cake!

Josh's 1st Communion Cake

I had the privilege of working with the Eckert family for this 1st communion cake! There are just some people that are too sweet for words............Josh's mom is one of those people. Jennifer is so so sweet! I met Jennifer through my sister Stephanie and they are in a play group together. I also had the privilege of making Jennifer's 40th Birthday cake and then this past weekend I got to make her son's 1st communion cake! I found this design idea online and Jennifer loved the mosaic cross! Congrats Josh!

Reveal Cake

I love this sweet design of the baby reveal cake! The mother-to-be found this design online and I was thrilled to replicate it!

30th Birthday Surprise

Don't you just love a good Surprise! I know I sure do! Well my amazing Brother-n-law started conspiring in January for my Sister's 30th Birthday in April.............he got the sisters in on the surprise too! And I am happy to say that Stephanie was completely surprised! It was such a fun night. I saw this cake idea on pinterest and I think it turned out super fun!

Flowers & Butterflies

This baby shower cake was for my very dear friend Rachel Atkins! Rachel is such a sweetheart.......a true southern belle! Rachel & Tim are welcoming a baby girl, Leah, at the end of June, and we could not be more excited for them. We are going to be related one day because my sweet Beau is going to be Leah's future husband! Haha.

My Oh My..............its been too long!

It seems that life has gotten in the way, again..........I think I've said that with each monthly post ;) haha. I need to get back in the routine of posting weekly, but having two little boys keeps me busy for sure so I will give myself some grace :) I hope you do to! This is a semi repeat cake but just a 1-tier version and a slight color change. But I do love the design!
