Paisley Shower Cake

This cake turned out just precious...............in my opinion! I love paisley print so you can imagine why I like this cake. I had the opportunity to work with a college friend who ordered this cake for her future sister-n-laws wedding shower cake. I took the shower invitation as an inspiration for this design and then added a big brown bow to top it off! Hope the shower was a success!

White & Silver Shower Cake

You can't go wrong with a simple but classy cake, such as this one! This cake was for a wedding shower this past weekend! The cake was covered in fondant with a simple silver bead border and a beautiful silver monogram on top!

Summer Bouquet

Here is a little cupcake bouquet that I did for a good friend, Monica!!!! Happy Birthday Monica!

Baby Shower Cupcake Bouquet

Here is a beautiful, pink cupcake bouquet that I did for one of my mom's friends. She is hosting a baby shower for a friend so she wanted a pretty in pink cupcake bouquet. I think it turned out beautiful!

Pretty, Pretty Flower Power

Some of my favorite cakes to work on are those for my family! I just love my sisters & brother-n-laws, and parents and of course my nieces and nephews so much. So naturally anytime that I can work on a cake for one of their birthdays I'm a happy camper! This cake was for my precious nieces Briley & Kenzie..........you can see their beautiful faces a few blog posts back. Anyhow, my sis Steph put on a HUGE 1st birthday bash for the twins! These were a few of the amazing things at the party: candy bar, delicious dinner, amazing slideshow, ball pit and slip & slide! It was so much fun! So naturally it was only appropriate to have a 3-tier cake for such a grand event! I think this cake just turned out adorable. Again, I can not take credit for the design...........I pretty much replicated it to the "T" but it is super girly and super cute!

Fondant Wedding Cake

I think this cake turned out beautiful!!!!!! Due to the HOT, HOT Texas heat we had to cover this cake in fondant...............the original design of this cake was supposed to be smooth buttercream icing with polka dots but I didn't feel comfortable transporting it in this heat. So we made the change to fondant. The nice thing about fondant is that it creates a beautiful smooth finish and it holds up much better in the heat and you still get the delicious buttercream icing in every bite because it is also underneath the fondant! Unfortunately, I did not get to meet the bride and groom for this wedding but I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting with the brides parents who finalized all of the details for the wedding cake - are they great parents or what!!!!

Nurse Cake

This cake was for one of my FAVORITE customers, the Sultemeier family!!!!!!! Their daughter Hannah, is graduating tomorrow from nursing school at TCU! I am so proud of her, as I know her family is as well! She is the sweetest young lady and she is going to make an AMAZING nurse. Her mom, Lori, ordered this cake for her, as they will be celebrating Hannah's huge accomplishment tomorrow! Lori also told me that Hannah has alr eady accepted a job at Cook's Children's Hospital! Way to go Hannah!

Bubblegum Cake

Well I must say that I LOVE doing themed cakes, especially when it follows the theme of a birthday party! My sister Rachel planned and decorated the cutest party all around a gumball machine for two of her kiddos, Kaylee & Caleb. It was the cutest theme! So it only seemed appropriate that we do a cake that looked like a gumball machine! KK & Caleb love gumballs so Rachel found these adorable mini gumball machines for party favors and then she had mason jars filled with gumballs as some table decor, as well as lots of other adorable things! Unfortunately, the proportions were a little off on this cake but overall I'm pleased with how it turned out!
